because it not asexual reproduction which means it has to inherit something from one parent and other things from the other parent
it is because your mom and your dad might have a trait such as brown eyes and your mom blue eyes who ever has the dominant trait such as brown eyes then you have a chance to get brown eyes your more likely to get brown eyes not blue eyes.
