The term storyboarding refers to a pre-visualization technique in which shots are sketched in sequence, like a comic book, before production begins.
A storyboard is a sketch (a graphic organizer in the form of illustrations)  of how to organize a story and a list of its contents. Storyboarding visualizes the sequence of a storyline.
