Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

x = -1/27

Discussion:

3 x^(1/3) -1 +2 = 0 =>

3 x^(1/3) +1 = 0      =>                      (as -1 + 2 = 1).

3 x^(1/3)  + 1 - 1 = 0 - 1 =>               Add -1 to both sides

3 x^(1/3) = -1 =>                               (divide both sides by 3)

(3/3) x^(1/3) = -1/3 =>

x^(1/3) = -1/3 =>

x = (-1/3) ^3 =>

x = -1/27

Thank you,

MrB
