7 divided by 2.5 is 2.8, so that’s how many miles he goes in an hour. then you multiply it by 10 and you get 28 (i think dont @ me if i’m wrong)

Set up a proportion to model this situation.  7 miles in 2.5 hours is 10 miles in how many hours?

7/2.5=10/x

*Cross multiply*

25=7x

*Divide both sides by 7*

3.5714=x

It will take him 3.5714 hours to go 10 miles.
