Answer is..

ab= 18

Explanation..

a + b = 11...---> a= 11-b

a -b = 7

11 - b - b = 7

11 - 2b = 7

2b = 18

b = 9

and a = 11 - 7

a = 2

So

ab = 2 * 9 =18
