In order to solve this question you will have to apply the distributive law and then multiply the numbers in order to receive your answer.

[tex]3(x+4)[/tex]

[tex]DL = a(b+c)=ab+ac[/tex]

[tex]= 3x+3\times 4[/tex]

[tex]3 \times 4 = 12[/tex]

[tex]=3x+12[/tex]

Which would mean your answer is "3x+12."

Hope this helps.
