Explanation:

  • Refractive Index can be calculated by the following formula. It is the ratio of the speed of light in a vacuum to that of a medium.
  • It is denoted by n.

n = Speed of light in vacuum/Speed of light in the medium = c/v

n = sin i/sin r where i is the angle of incidence and r is the angle of refraction.
