What is 4.3 as an improper fraction

You need to convert .3 to a fraction.

1: Divide the number by 1. .3/1
2. Then you multiply the top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point. For this it will be just 10. So the answer will look like 3/10.

So now we have 4 3/10. 

To get it into improper fraction. You multiply the whole number and denominator. In this case it will be 4 x 10 = 40. Then you add the numerator 40+3 = 43.

Your final answer is 43/10.
