Step-by-step explanation:

-2x + 5y = -16  (3) =       -6x + 15y = -48

3x -  4y  = 17  (2)          6x -   8y  =   34

                                            7y =     -14

y= -14/7 = 2

-2x + 5(2) = -16

-2x + 10 = -16

x= -16 - 10/2 = 13
