for instance,   -3-4 = -7

and  if we subtract a positive number from a negative number the answer is positive and vice versa the answer will be negative if the negative number is greater than the positive number.

for instance,   -6 + 2 = -4

but if the negative number is greater than,   +6 - 2 = 4
