Given:-

A block of wood measures 12cm x 5cm x 10cm.

To be calculated:-

Calculate the volume in (i) cm3 (ii) m3

Solution:-

Case 1 :

Volume of wood = 12cm x 5cm x 10cm

= 600 cm³

Case 2 :

12 cm = 12/100 = 0.12 m

5 cm = 5/100 = 0.05 m

10 cm = 10/100 = 0.01 m

Volume of wood = 0.12 × 0.05 × 0.01

= 0.00006 m³
