Subtract both sides by 2x
7/2x-2x=6+2x-2x

3/2x=6
Divide both sides by 3/2
(3/2x)/(3/2)=6/(3/2)
x=6/(3/2)
Dividing my a fraction is the same as multiplying its reciprocal
