Why are cell walls present in plant cells but absent in animal cells

Answer:

The main purpose of cell wall is to give a plant rigidity and strength. Plants need this because they cannot move. Animals already have a skeleton so it would be useless for them to have a cell wall. Because animals have to move around in order to survive, they cannot have a cell wall.
