Given that,

The side length of a square garden [tex]=12\dfrac{2}{3}\ \tet{feet}=\dfrac{38}{3} \text{feet}[/tex]

A farmer plants squash in a garden with a perimeter of 50 1/2 feet = 50.5 feet

To find,

Which garden has a greater perimeter.

Solution,

The area of a square is given by :

A = 4s, s is side of square

A farmer plants beets, the perimeter is :

[tex]A=4\times \dfrac{38}{3}\\\\=50.67\ cm[/tex]

Hence, the square garden with side lengths 12 2/3 feet will have more perimeter.
