Brandon says that 3/8 equals 8/13 because 3 + 5 equals 8 + 8 + 5 equals 13 is he correct ? Explain​

Answer: No, because when you divide 3/8 you get .375 and when you divide 8/13 you get .62
Not sure where they even got the 5 from.
