The US was unjustified in going to war because of 3 reasons: Polk provoked it, Robbery of Texas, and the growth of Slavery of Texas. One reason the US was unjustified is that Polk provoked Mexico. ... This evidence shows that the US was unjustified in going to war because he thought Manifest Destiny was one of God's plans.
