To solve, use the formula for slope: [tex]m= \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} [/tex]. Using your points, this becomes [tex]m= \frac{-7-2}{14-(-2)} =\frac{-9}{16}[/tex]. This means your slope is -9/16.
