The Silk Road played a major factor in the spread of Islam. With many of the civillians living throughout the silk road practicing Islam, merchants and travellers who went through the SIlk Road they were introduced to Islam as they were able to sell and spread the teachings of Islam worldwide through Word of Mouth.
