High blood pressure usually has no symptoms, to indicate something is going on. Since their are no symptoms you wouldn't know your at risk of serious problems, including death. High blood pressure is a disease in which blood flows through blood vessels (arteries) at a higher than normal pressure. Not knowing can come with many problems like strokes, heart disease, heart failure, etc...
