Which value could be the length of the missing side of the triangle? (the side of the triangle has 5, the bottom has a 12 and the top has a X)

Given that this is a right triangle, we can use the Pythagorean Theorem which is expressed as:

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

where c is the hypotenuse and a, b are the other two legs. 

c = sqrt ( 5^2 + 12^2 ) = 13
