You can either buy a SSD (solid state drive) or a HDD (mechanical hard drive)
SSD have no moving parts and only use electronic circuits. in my opinion they’re much more useful than HDDs as they don’t require defragging and have much faster access times and backups
HDDs use moving parts and have a read/write head. They store their data magnetically, but aren’t as efficient as SSDs
