(Velocity)*(Time) = Distance.

We want the time, t.

(1540m/sec)(t) = 1cm

By definition, 1 m = 100cm

Conversion factor:  (1m/100cm)

Therefore 1 cm = 0.010 m

(1540m/sec)(t) = 0.010 m

t = (0.010 m)/(1540m/sec))

t = 1.0x10^-2m/(1.54x10^3m/sec)

t = 6.5x10-6 seconds, or 6.5 microseconds
