Answer: -1000 could represent the amount of money someone owes to a bank, or has taken out of their bank account. For example, if someone were to be in dept of -1000 dollars to the bank if they took out a loan of $1000 that they never paid back. Or, if someone were to withdraw that amount from their account to spend on something else.
