Plug in x = -1 to get...

f(x) = 2*x^2 - 6
f(x) = 2*(x)^2 - 6
f(-1) = 2*(-1)^2 - 6 ... note how each x is replaced with -1
f(-1) = 2*(1) - 6
f(-1) = 2 - 6
f(-1) = -4

Answer is choice B) -4
