First thing is to determine the length of the line RT. You can use a ruler to get this length.
The second step is to know how far the point k is from the point R (the starting point of the line).
The last step is to again use a ruler to measure the distance between R and K. R will be the beginning point of your measurement and point K will lie at the end of the distance you will measure. Use a pencil to locate K.
