What inspired Jonathan Edwards to challenge his followers?

The inspiration of Jonathan Edward is the beauty of God. Same with the most Puritans he wants a reformation in the church. He has a different perspective in finding implications and discoveries because he's basis is the masterpiece of God and his created life. He wants a revival, Edward preached the most famous sermon "Sinners in The Hands of An Angry God". His followers and disciples known as The New Light Calvinist ministers.
