Hello, let's say that a negative square root gives a result that is NOT a real number. A negative number is not a square (a negative number squared gives always a positive number).

Thus, they can be represented with an "i", the immaginary unit.

So, the solution would be -10i (because, as I said, there isn't a real negative number that squared gives -100).
