A line parallel to this line will also have the same slope (by definition)
So according to the general straight line equation y=ax+b, the slope is -1

y = mx + b    slope(m)

y = -x + 7

the slope of a line that runs parallel to this equation is -1. both equations will have the same slope if they are parallel to each other.
