How do you factor sinx+1-2sin^2x ?

You can factor out a sinx out of them
[tex] \sin(x) - 2 \sin^{2} (x) + 1 = \\ \sin(x) (1 - 2 \sin(x)) + 1[/tex]
I don't think this can be simplified further by using any trigonometric identities.
