In the course of a short race, a car does 50,000 J of work in 7 s. What is the power of the car during the race?

Work done is the product of distance and force, it is measured in joules.
Power is the rate of work done given by dividing the work done by time
Power (watts)= workdone (J)/ time (s)
                      = 50,000J/7 sec
                      = 7142.857 watts
Therefore, the power of the car during the race was 7142.857 watts
