Abigail buys two cartons of strawberries. One carton has 19 strawberries and the other carton has 26 strawberries. She wants to divide the strawberries into bags so there are exactly 6 strawberries in each bag.

First, add up the number of strawberries in each cartons to determine the total number of strawberries.

   N = 19 + 26
    N = 45

To determine the number of bags that will hold 6 strawberries, divide 45 by 6.
    n = 45 strawberries / (6 strawberries/bag)
     n = 7.5

Then, there are 7 bags with 6 strawberries each.
