Daniel has 11/12 of a chocolate bar. He ate 3/4 of the chocolate bar and gave 1/12 to his sister. How much of the chocolate bar is left?

There is 1/12 of the chocolate bar left.

Original is 11/12.
3/4.
4*3 = 12
So we multiply 3 by 3 as well
3*3 = 9
9/12
Daniel eats 9/12 of the chocolate bar.
11/12 - 9/12 = 2/12
Then he gives 1/12 to his sister. 
2/12 - 1/12 = 1/12
There is 1/12 of the chocolate bar left.
