The length of a rectangle is 3 m longer than its width.

What is the width of the rectangle?

Let x= width
Then x+3= length
So 2x+2x+6=26
4x+20
x=5
Width is x=5m and length is x+3=8m
Area is (lenght)(width) so (5)(8)= 40m squared
