the area of the trapezoid :
[tex]((7 + 9) \times 3.6) \div 2 = (16 \times 3.6) \\ \div 2 = 57.6 \div 2 = 28.8[/tex]

the area of the triangle :

first you should find the height
[tex]6.4 - 3.6 = 2.8[/tex]
now :
[tex](2.8 \times 7) \div 2 = 19.6 \div 2 = 9.8[/tex]


the area of the whole shape :
[tex]28.8 + 9.8 = 19[/tex]

the answer is 19ft^2
