Rachel is baking a cake but does not know if she wants to bake a round or square cake. Which cake has a larger area, aaa round 8 inch cake or a square 9 inch cake. How much larger is it?

Area of round cake is 50.27 while the are of the square cake is 81
Square is larger by 30.73

The square cake would have an area of 81 square inches while the round cake would have an area of 25.12 square inches. I calculated thes using the following respective formulas, a=bh (for the square) and a=3.14*d (for the round cake). The square cake is larger than the round cake by 55.88 square inches.
